FICAC Directors have audience with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomeos I

Members of the FICAC delegation who met last October with His All Holiness Bartholomeos I, Archbishop of Constantinople and Ecumenical Patriarch of the Eastern Orthodox Communion, which has an estimated 300 million adherents worldwide.

Members of the FICAC Board of Directors had the privilege of being received by His All Holiness Bartholomeos I, Ecumenical Patriarch.

The Ecumenical Patriarch is "first among equals" of the Eastern Orthodox Church, the second largest Christian religion in the world, with an estimated 300 million adherents worldwide.

Letter from His All Holiness

His All Holiness expressed his appreciation for the visit in a letter to FICAC's Secretary General shortly after meeting the delegation:

"Dear Mr Aykut Eken,

"We are greatly pleased by the visit to us of the FICAC Board Members during their stay in Istanbul at the occasion of the "2nd FICAC Race". "It is an honour for me and for our Patriarchate to have received a decoration by the Distinguished FICAC Federation. For this reason, through you, we would like to thank all the esteemed FICAC Board Members.
